Techmiracle Technologies Carbon Reduction Plan 2025

Supplier name: Techmiracle Technologies Limited.
Publication date: 31/7/25

Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Techmiracle Technologies Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 2020

Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations

Prior to 2020 Techmiracle did not have a formal system in place to accurately measure or report Scope 3 emissions. We are currently engaging with a Carbon Neutral Consultant to assist with our carbon mitigation planning and reporting. Presently, we are working towards producing baseline figures for our Scope 3, which we anticipate publishing shortly.

In order to measure, reduce and influence our Scope 3 emissions across our value chain we will complete the following steps:

Baseline and Prioritisation

We are currently carrying out the following actions in order to establish a baseline year and prioritise key categories:

  • Conduct a Scope 3 emissions inventory using a spend-based model (or supplier data if available).
  • Identify our top 3 material Scope 3 categories (e.g. purchased goods, business travel, employee commuting).

The timeline for these activities will be 6 – 8 weeks. These actions will be owned by our Operations Lead.

Supplier Engagement and Procurement

We have a small supply chain, as such we will take the following actions to continue to assess as part of our ISO9001 supply chain and the appropriate Carbon Footprint monitoring process:

  • Create a Sustainable Procurement Policy.
  • We will prioritise suppliers with:
    • Public GHG reporting
    • Science-based targets
    • Low-carbon materials/services
  • Collaborate on shared emissions-reduction opportunities (e.g., packaging redesign, bulk shipments).

This is continuous activity that is part of Techmiracle Technologies (TT) carbon strategy, which is subject to constant review. These activities will be owned by our Procurement Manager.

One of our main suppliers is RS Components which is part of the RS Group. They offer a Better World products framework which offers more sustainable choices. RS Group has set four science-based targets covering its most important emissions areas - operations, logistics, products and suppliers. These targets and their supporting initiatives drive the organisation’s decarbonisation approach and support the target to limit global warming to 1.5°C:

  • reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 75%*
  • reducing Scope 3 transport emissions by 25% per tonne of product sold*
  • reducing Scope 3 emissions from the use of RS PRO products by 20% per tonne of products sold*
  • committing that 67% of suppliers (by spend) covering purchased goods and services will set science-based targets by 2024/2025

This aligns with TT’s carbon reduction strategy, and we are working closely with RS on this.

Transportation and Distribution

In order to reduce our emissions in upstream and downstream transportation, we will commence the following actions:

  • Shift to low-carbon or consolidated shipping where possible.
  • Optimise delivery routes and encourage logistics providers to adopt EVs or biodiesel.
  • Incentivise customers to choose green delivery options (longer delivery windows, local pickup points).

This will take immediate effect and will be continuous and on-going. Our target will be a 25% reduction in 2 years.

Product Design and use

To reduce our use phase emissions, we will carry out the following actions:

  • Design products with longer lifespans or energy efficiency in use phase.
  • Educate customers on low-impact product usage.
  • Offer repair services or circular product models.

This will take immediate effect and will be continuous and on-going. Our target is a reduction of 17% over 3 years. These actions will be the responsibility of our Product Development lead.

Waste & End of Life

In order to reduce the amount of waste diverted to landfill, we will carry out the following actions:

  • Partner with recyclers for product take-back or circular initiatives.
  • Switch to recyclable, compostable, or returnable packaging.
  • Reduce overproduction or waste in procurement.

This will take immediate effect and will be continuous and on-going. Our target will be 60% of waste diverted from landfill by year 2. These actions will be the responsibility of the Operations Lead.

As part of TT’s business strategy, carbon neutrality and reducing our footprint is one of our key mission statements and activities.

The selected baseline year represents the earliest point at which consistent and verifiable emissions data became available across our operations, supported by updated data collection processes and enhanced internal reporting mechanisms.

Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.

We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 5.73 tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of 70%.

Progress against these targets can be seen in the graph below:

Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2020 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 5.489 tCO2e (Due to no scope 3 emissions in 2020 our comparison excludes scope 3. However, from 2024 onwards Scope 3 will be included) — a 92% reduction against the 2020 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.

  • All waste is segregated at source. We reuse or recycle packaging materials & reduce single-use plastics. Electronic waste is disposed of using certified handlers.
  • We have reduced energy consumption by powering down electrical items not in use outside of office hours.
  • Historically we were involved with installation which was undertaken at the roadside (now done by others). This has dramatically reduced our diesel consumption. We are able to fulfil more, remotely.
  • Our vans are fleet Euro 6 compliant. We now have electric vehicles & have implemented a policy on purchasing only electric new vehicles which aligns with our roadmap to Net Zero.
  • Over the last four years we have switched to 64% biodegradable products. Reduced use of detergents by 75% & lubricants by 76%.
  • We design whole life solutions into our products. Incorporating recycled materials, solar power energy, installation on existing infrastructure/cabinets, no planned maintenance, long MTBFs.

Future carbon reduction initiatives

  • We plan to progressively replace our remaining diesel vehicles with electric alternatives within the next 3 years.
  • We aim to collaborate with key suppliers to map and reduce Scope 3 emissions, including more sustainable procurement practices and transport/logistics optimisation.
  • Building on the success of our ISO9001, Techmiracle are actively working towards ISO14001.
